Pinnukis: A day in the Life of an IT Engineer

It was past 12 midnight when I finally reached my place at Taguig City where I share a boarding with some housemates.

It took me around more than an hour to travel aboard with a jeepney from Sampaloc to Shaw Boulevard Station near SM Megamall, a bus way to SM Bicutan, and a tricy way home.

What I did to Sampaloc is to look for a boarding house for my sister who will take a review near UST. I was able to find one, a Studio Type room since Apartment type is of very scarce to find. It sucks to pay an amount of ***** pesos which ignites me again to think of an issue on how expensive cost of living is. Welcome to Manila anyway.

I wonder why our government and even the people of the Philippines are currently divided with the issue of RH Bill. There are a lot more problems out there to resolve. I can see people starving, homeless and clothes torn.

Why can't these very basic necessities of humankind be prioritized first instead of continuously debating on an issue where postponement for further review is just fine.

Well, I wake up this morning at 7:00AM by my cp alarm but since I am still sleepy, I reset it to 7:30. Still sleepy, adjusted again., but at 7:55 I have to be really alarmed so I managed to get up, prepare a cofee, ate a piece of an egg and at least three spoons of rice then take a bath.

I have no polo barong pressed, so I have to put on a long sleeves with ties that choke.. hehe.,

Aboard with a bus, I have seen clothes dried at the PNR railways near Magallanes. Maybe they're wet because of the heavy rain yesterday and in my day-to-day travel for work always see individuals barking on shed of trees and using i guess the flyover of Magallanes as shelter by night and day. I remember again an incident when Walter Ceria, my former student, says 'We must thank God!', upon seeing a negrito having pieces of woods and leaves of banana as home. Yes, I must be thankful, that even if I don't have any beautiful house, our good Lord grants me a possession I can call a home. Can't the government do anything for said people?

In the same place, I have seen as well a pregnant woman and another mother breastfeeding a child of about four to five months. And there are even other children 'scattered' there. (spare me for the term, i can't think of a better one) I again speculated how on earth these people can do the thing called 'S*X' in consideration that I can't see any private place for them to do so!.. (hehe.. inggit? at kelangan pa ba nila sabihin kung saan sila gumagawa ng kababalaghan?) Having my observation with these kind of living gives me the idea... "sige, ituloy nyo na nga 'yang p*t*ng *n*ng RH Bill na 'yan.. haha"

Passing through Pasay Road, a man aboard the bus with some announcement.  "Kami po ay unyon ng mga driver at konduktor, humihingi po kami ng konting tulong upang masuportahan ang aming welga upang mabigyan ng hustiya ang mga tinanggal na kapwa manggawa, pasahod na hindi sapat sa humigit kumulang labing dalawang oras na pagtatrabaho. (at marami pang iba) Anumang tulong na maibibigay niyo ay tatanawin naming napakalaking utang na loob. Maraming salamat po. ". The first time I heard words of this man, i dropped at least twenty pesos in his box.. (Nakakaantig ng puso eh., haha) But Alas! parang recorded lang.., sa susunod mapeperfect q na irecite ang eksaktong sinasabi niya., The government has to consider minimum wage earners as well.

What if paying tax will be made voluntary pala?(very imposible!, may magbabayad pa kaya?)

Walking along the aisles of Greenbelt at Makati, an old American inquired, "Anong oras na?" (with all the accents of course...)

"It's nayn o payb". I answered after getting my nerve back. (nabigla kc bigla na lang may kumausap sa kin... hehe)

"9:05?" para namang luko luko aq at kinonfirm pa. At parang ini emphasize ang mga katagang.. 'late ka na...'

"Yes." Trying hard to imitate his accent. LOL. And I continue walking.

Getting in to the office... WORK WORK WORK... Have a nice day ahead!
