Tulfo brothers sorry for TV remarks against Raymart, Claudine

The Tulfo brothers are sorry for making remarks perceived as threats against actor Raymart Santiago and his wife Claudine, according to a report.

Broadcast journalist Erwin Tulfo has apologized, on air, in behalf of his brothers Raffy and Ben, a day after they spewed tirades against the actor who figured in a brawl with their elder brother Ramon.

The three host TV5's public service show T3: Kapatid, Sagot Kita!.

Erwin aired his apology over Punto Asintado on Aksyon TV and Radyo Singko 92.3, said the report.

“Kung kayo ho ay... kung hindi ninyo nagustuhan, kahit hindi kayo kasama sa problemang ito, ang amin pong paumanhin... Maging ang aming ina ay hindi nagustuhan dahil ito raw ay pagbabanta," he said.

“Ang sagot ho namin sa aming ina, ito ay bugso ng damdamin. Inilabas lamang ho namin yung aming sama ng loob," he said.

Erwin lamented his actions and said they should not have acted that way.

"Nevertheless, hindi pa rin karapat-dapat bilang isang broadcaster. “Kami ho ay humihingi ng paumanhin sa aming mga tagapakinig, sa mga nasaktan po, sa mga natakot," he added.

In their show Monday, Raffy Tulfo advised Santiago to "start praying" that they don't bump into each other at the mall. "Light a candle now (so) our paths will never meet," he said. He also referred to Santiago as "Raymart Barretto" and as an "anak ng P.I.,".

Erwin also told Santiago, and his wife Claudine Barretto, to just stay where they are.

"Dahil kapag nagpaabot tayo sa NAIA Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, tatamaan at tatamaan ka," he said.

He also called the couple liars for saying the eldest Tulfo brother kicked Barretto first. He said it is not in their character to hurt women. "Ni pagalitan nga nitong si ‘Tol Raffy, hindi nagagalit sa babae, at iniiwasan kahit na mali," he said.

Mon Tulfo claims said he inadvertently kicked Claudine because he was trying to get away while being ganged up on.

Ben Tulfo then hinted at having a fist fight with Santiago. "Kung ang gusto mo... Malaking warehouse, sarado, naghihintay ang ambulansiya. Last man standing," he said.

Erwin then told the couple to watch out because the Tulfo brothers will get even. "We're not done. Just wait," he said.

In an interview over "Umagang Kay Ganda" on ABS-CBN Tuesday, Mon Tulfo said he scolded his brothers for what they said. He said his brothers regretted it and that they were only emotional.

The Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas Broadcast Code of 2007, prohibits the use of vulgar language, or "language tending to incite violence and sedition," and name-calling and personal insults.

"Offensive, obscene blasphemous, profane, and vulgar double meaning words and phrases" are also prohibited on-air.

  1. The statement they said on their show was very offensive. They made an apologize to their listeners and viewers but not to Santiago, so I think they are still planning for a revenge.
